The Empire State Building lobby is one of the few interiors in New York to be designated a historic landmark by the Landmarks Preservation Commission. In 2009, it took 18 months to fully restore its aesthetic to the original 1930 design.
We provide ongoing MEP engineering services in this landmarked building. We were part of a specialized team restoring the landmarked lobby and contiguous public spaces and also we assisted in the preparation of a conceptual master plan that addressed important planning and design issues throughout the lobby, street entrances, corridors, elevator bank areas, retail spaces and public floors.
