This skyscraper anchors the plaza named after the Swedish diplomat, economist, and author who served as the second Secretary-General of the United Nations.
One Dag Hammarskjold Plaza is a class A, 49-floor skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan. It was completed in 1972 and is the 65th tallest building in New York.
We worked on this famous property since the mid-1980s, designing two upgrades to the original chiller plant using a hybrid plant with both steam and electric chillers, the latter using series flow to maximize efficiency. Over the years our firm has also designed many tenant fitouts, including those for UN Embassies including a large multiple floor installation for the United Kingdom.
