With the United States increasingly focused on reducing carbon emissions, ASHRAE Journal has published a feature article by Charles Copeland and Tristan Schwartzman on a vital resource in that context: geothermal ground source energy. The article – “Developing Geothermal Screening Web Tools” – draws on Goldman Copeland’s experience in two landmark milestones for the use of geothermal ground source energy by property owners in urban and suburban settings.

First was the creation in 2018 for the City of New York of the first-ever geothermal screening web tool; second was the replication of that tool in 2021 for Westchester County. Read the article here.
