This project involved the design of an extensive chiller and boiler plant upgrade including:
Three new 700-ton electric chillers
Two new 250-ton electric chillers
Two 500 BHP hot water boilers
One 250 BHP boiler
This project also included new hot water distribution piping between buildings. The 700-ton electric chillers will serve the serve the entire campus, while the 250-ton electric chillers will serve laboratories in the Basic Sciences building.
The 500 BHP boiler was installed in the Comp Med Building MER and the 250 BHP boiler was installed in the main boiler plant.
