This project involved a chiller plant modernization for the twin 32-story residential towers and six-story commercial office property.The new chiller plant included two new 1250-ton chillers that utilizes East River water for condensing instead of cooling towers.
A sophisticated control system is used to monitor the plant. Plate and frame heat exchangers were also incorporated into the condensing loop to provide free cooling in the off-season.The system isolates corrosive river water from the chillers and eliminates the need for special construction for the condenser tube bundle
