Senior HVAC Engineer
The ideal candidate will have proven engineering ability, management skills,
client liaison experience and a strong interest in career growth. You will
perform feasibility studies and condition surveys, create detailed designs and
provide technical assistance during the design and construction of projects
ranging from high rise commercial properties to hospitals, theater complexes,
schools, colleges, transportation facilities and historic renovation
projects.
Minimum requirements:
- B.S. Mechanical Engineering or M.S. in any building-related field
(preferably engineering or energy management)
- At least 5 years experience in HVAC engineering, preferably with
commercial/institutional buildings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience providing technical direction and supervising personnel
- Initiative and ability to work unsupervised
Additional preferred attributes:
- PE
- Experience with LEED requirements
- Knowledge of NYC and NYS building and energy codes
Energy Engineer
We are looking for an experienced energy engineer to join our energy services
team. The ideal candidate is an experienced senior mechanical engineer
with professional interest and extensive experience in energy efficiency, green
buildings, and sustainability in commercial buildings; and with proven expertise
in analysis of building energy systems for efficiency, energy modeling, energy
codes and standards for commercial buildings.
Minimum requirements:
- B.S. Mechanical Engineering or M.S. in any building-related field
(preferably engineering or energy management)
- At least 5 years experience in energy efficiency, green buildings and
sustainability in commercial buildings
- Experience in building energy management, performing energy audits or
building commissioning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience providing technical direction and supervising personnel
- Initiative and ability to work unsupervised
Additional preferred attributes:
- PE, LEED AP, or CEM accreditations
- Experience with LEED consulting or evaluation
- Understanding of the ENERGY STAR performance rating system
- Knowledge of building modeling and experience using DOE2 based simulation
software, such as eQUEST
